Quality chasers for Oster style die heads are available in
several configurations. The cutting edge grinds or hook
angles vary depending upon the type of material that
the chaser will cut. The chart below lists recommendations
for cutting various materials.
The standard chamfer angle is 20 degrees. This chamfer angle may be changed to suit the job, since tool life will be greatly enhanced by lengthening the chamfer and spreading the cutting load over a larger area of the chaser. |
